After months of preparation, we are excited to announce that on August 26, 2025, 5Star Life Insurance Company (5Star Life) will deploy a new policy administration system.  The new system will enable us to foster new growth allowing us to offer new products and services; offer enhanced portal functionality; and lastly, continue our trajectory of delivering excellent service in every interaction. 

Next steps

Here is what you can expect:

  • August 19 last day for payments to be made on current employer portal
  • August 20 – 25 employer portal will be down. If payment is due during this time, please pay on 8/26.
  • August 26 employer portal will be live and ready to accept payments and updates

Changes impacting paper bills

Following the transition, we will no longer mail a paper bill. Moving forward, your bill will be available on the employer portal 24/7 to view or download. If you already have a portal account, continue using the same credentials. To create an account, contact us at [email protected] or call 866-863-9753 and our team will be happy to guide you in the set up. Payments will continue to be accepted on the portal or via check; there are no changes to these processes.   

Will the employer portal URL change?

No, the employer portal URL will remain the same.

Will employer login information change?

No, employer login credentials will remain unchanged.

Can I pay bills generated before the conversion on the new portal?

Yes, bills generated before the conversion will still be payable on the portal after the conversion.

Will there be penalties for late payments during the transition?

No, there will be no penalties for bills due between August 19 and August 26 if paid after the go-live date.

Will the information in the portal be different?

The content will remain the same, but the format and layout may look different than what users are used to.

I do not have an employer portal account. How do I create an account on the new portal?

To create an emplyer account, contact us at [email protected] or call 866-863-9753 and our team will be happy to guide you in the set up.
